Whether you’re a hard core gamer, music lover, teacher, parent or musician, chances are there’s a music game out there you’ll love. My goal with this blog is to lead you to the best music games for your needs, as well as fun ways to learn or teach music and guides to game-based music education.  

This is a blog for everything music game related. I use the term “game” very loosely; meaning anything musical with which you can engage in play. This includes digital instruments, tools, games and playful ways to engage in learning music. The blog contains reviews and analysis of music games, lesson plans and guides to game-based music education, ways to use games to learn about music and reviews of fun digital music tools.  

About Willow Neilson

I began my professional career as a performing musician, became a music teacher, then a music game learning designer. I worked alongside many great game designers cocreating music games and other educational games. Now I’m back teaching music applying the lessons I’ve learned working in the educational games industry within the classroom. I now design and develop my own games on the side and my students are the first to play and test them.
